Book Meme

EssJay tagged me with a book meme and I thought I'd make her happy by answering it. :)

The Rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book of 123 (or more) pages.
Dance on my grave by Aidan Chambers (Cheated here as the books closest to me were all in Swedish... I let boyfriend pick a random number and counted my English books in the book shelves.)

2. Open the book to page 123 and find the 5th sentence.
He said that in his opinion this was not just the prerogative of priests and doctors, and even social workers, but that it extended to teachers too.

3. Post the next 3 sentences.
I tried to assure Mr O. that anything he told me would remain confidential. He replied that I had missed the point. A confidence did not remain a confidence, he said, just because you told it to someone else who was bound by professional confidentiality.

4. Tag 5 people
Nah, I'll just leave that one open...

If you haven't read Aidan Chamber's Dance on my grave, I think you should do so right now. It's one of my all-time-favourites. Also one of the first books I read in English. I was thirteen and the language was often way over my head (prerogative?) but the story really got to me. And the way the book is structured. It's basically this one guy telling the story behind him dancing on a friend's grave. There's gay love. There are insecurities. Secrets. Friendships.

If you end up reading it, I'd love to know what you think of it. If you love it as much as I do.

Another title for my entirely too long list of books-I-must-reade!
