What an amazing weekend I just had!
Friday night, boyfriend and I decided to go into town and play some pool. We had dinner at the "pool hall" and was happily surprised by the quality of the food. I had a superb burger and my plate was overflowing with food. I was too full to go for desserts! (Knowing I had Häagen Dazs in my freezer at home also helped me in deciding to keep from ordering a dessert...)
We had a great time playing but we both sucked real bad. I don't think I've ever played that poorly before. It took us more than an hour to finish two games as we missed so many perfect shots... We had fun though. Probably because we both sucked. I would've hated it if he played better than I did.
Saturday and Sunday were both sunny and somewhat warm. We spent a lot of time in the garden reading. A good thing about this first spring and summer in our house is that we don't really have to do much work in the garden. We're "getting to know it"... So, we read. And read. And read some more. And when boyfriend thought he'd go crazy for sitting still too long, we started packing the car for a trip to the recycling centre. Came back and had a barbeque.
Sunday was sort of the same. We read out in the garden. At noon, boyfriend helped a friend with some work and I went for a bike ride in the sun.

I did some cross-stitching in the evenings. Finished one teddy bear. I'll try to get my act together and take some pictures. Anyone interested in cross-stitching?

The biggest excitement during the weekend was Skorpan's escape from the garden... I usually keep track on what they're doing when I let Skorpan and JumJum be outside. I keep an eye on them. I play with them (chasing leaves or twigs can be fun for a loooong time if you're a cat). Boyfriend thinks I'm silly... He keeps telling me to relax, to let them discover the garden on their own and to let them feel "free". I tried doing so while reading. And I succeeded. All of a sudden I had no idea where Skorpan was.
After some calling for him and walking around, I found him outside our little fence... He was trying to get back in by clawing at the fence, and his little cat brain didn't understand that he had to jump over the fence to get back in. Both boyfriend and I ended up outside the garden trying to get Skorpan to come to us from the shrubbery he was in. There are a million thorns in those bushes and we weren't paniced enough to hurt ourselves over his little adventure.
After some pacing and walking and jogging along the fence, Skorpan found the gate that I had opened for him and he ran in. Sunday, he didn't come close to the bush I think he climb up in to get over the fence. (As he didn't seem to understand that he could jump over the fence when trying ot get back in...) I don't think he truly tried to escape but just happened to end up on the wrong side of the fence when trying to get down from the bush... But what do I know?

I'm glad Skorpan found his way safely home! I love that they enjoy going outside to enjoy the weather!
I tried to play pool once. I was horrid so I've never tried again, probably never will!
I used to cross-stitch when I was younger, but it has been years since I have.
