Pinned together in front
Pattern: Laminaria by Elizabeth Freeman from Knitty Spring 2008
Yarn: 265grams of ViKanGarn's thinner quality. Dye lot A30; a beige and toffee coloured dye
Needles: 4,5mm/US7
Project time: August 5th - September 4th, 2008 (blocked September 14th-15th, 2008)
Side view of the Laminaria hanging loose over my shoulders
Project modifications: I made the Star section symmetrical by exchanging my k3tog with "slip 3 stitches individually and knit them through back loop" after the middle marker. With heavier yarn it really shows if you don't make it symmetrical. I did one extra repeat of the Blossom chart as I'm tall, don't mind a large shawl and had yarn for it.
Comments/Thoughts: This is love, love, love. I love the pattern design. I love the yarn. I love the combination of the pattern and the yarn.

Det är så vackert! (pulling out my rusty swedish for this one) :)
It is absolutely beautiful! I love the structure you got from using a bit heavier yarn.

Great work...nice photos! -Shell
Absolutely stunning, Anna, and so lovely in that colour... and yes, isn't the pattern fantastic! Not just a beautiful FO, but the knitting process is just so enjoyable too.
Off to 'fave' it on Ravelry!
Oh, Anna, it's gorgeous!
