I've always thought of myself as person who can't wear boleros or short cardigans/jackets. I'm too tall. And flat chested. I've always been afraid it'll look as if I bought a cardigan in the kid's section or had an accident in the washing machine. Or if it looks homemade, I'd worry people think I ran out of yarn.
Among my knitting books, I have a book by Lene Holme Samsoe (Swedish title: Sticka romantiskt, modernt och kvinnligt. Original/Danish title: Feminin strikk) and when looking through it the first time I fell in love with a bolero... I can't explain it. It's cute. Something I'm not. It's a bolero. Something I don't wear. It has a ribbon in it. So not me in my clothes. And still... I fell in love.
I fought it. And hid the book.
Yesterday I went to an open knit night in one of the yarn stores in town and I looked through her book collection. She had the book. And I opened it. And I ended up buying yarn for it... Pink yarn...
Here's a link to Blackbunny's version of it.

Pink? I'm sure it will be stunning on you!
Nice pattern!
Hi Anna! Hope you are fine =) The bolero looks really neat (to you spell it like that?). Anyway, I just got home a hole new collection of rings and "armband" if you´re still interested. Do you have MSN? If yes - you can add me as juvelskakaren@hotmail.com. Then I can show you some pictures =) Kind regards Jessica.
I'm not cute either, but I really wanted to make that bolero, but I can't read Danish ):
