So, we survived the christening of our friends' baby boy yesterday. It was actually quite painless. A quick ceremony in their garden followed by lunch and a guided tour in a big park with more or less exotic plants in it.
Sophie the Rabbit and the four books I picked up from a second hand book store in town were well received. I bought a book with Alice Tegnér songs, a HC Andersen story book, a Brothers Grimm story book and a collection of Scandinavian folklore stories. I know some people might think it strange to buy second hand books for gifts, and maybe especially for a christening gift, but I knew my friends wouldn't mind.
Thanks again for all your suggestions last week!
