A bit antsy

The quest for new tennants is still on. Last week we had four different couples looking at the apartment. They all turned it down for various reasons. Yesterday the phone started to ring again and to save ourselves some time we booked three couples to come and look within half an hour of each other. We realized it might get a bit crowded in the hallway but thought it was easier on us than having to spend the whole night waiting around for people... And we hoped that they would all get a bit psyched by seeing that others were interested in the same apartment and thereby making their minds up quicker about whether they want to rent the place or not. The faster someone decides, the faster we can make plans for our move to the house.

I'm getting a bit antsy about not knowing when we're moving. It might be in 4½ weeks. Or a month later than that. We can't really start packing. We can't book a moving van. We can't decide when our housewarming party will take place. It's getting frustrating not knowing if I'll wrap my Christmas gifts in our apartment or if I'll be in our house, if my days off between Christmas and New Year's will be spent unpacking or packing, if I'll drink the first cup of tea for 2008 in a messy apartment or in a messy house...

I'd like to move as soon as possible. But just finding out when it'll be will make me feel better about it. So I know which pictures I should keep in my head and which I can delete.

Please hold your thumbs for us finding out in a day or two. And please squeeze 'em a bit tighter for us to find out that the new tennats wouldn't mind moving in early.
