Skorpan in the "radiator bed" resting after a night at the vet's clinic last summer
Skorpan is the cat that gives me worry. Remember this and this from June last year? And this from August?
Now it's time again. I have an appointment for Thursday with an orthopedist at the vet's clinic. Skorpan has injured his tail... He's eating and drinking as normal and he doesn't have a fever, so the vet thought it'd be okey to wait for a couple of days. Just as long as I keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn't seem to get worse and that he continues eating, drinking and using the litter box.
I don't know what's happened. He can't lift his tail straight up. It just hangs and there seems to be a bend in it. He can move it from side to side but he seems cautious about doing it. I can touch it gently but this morning when I tried to feel the bones/discs a bit more he japped at me and walked away.
I think he's twisted his tail. Or dislocated a disc. I don't think it's broken as he can move it from side to side and it doesn't look swollen. But then again, I'm not a vet...
Let's hope everything goes back to normal before Thursday. (Which seems very far away, doesn't it? I might take him in on an emergency call before that...)
